Where are the classes held?

The classes and PT sessions are held in our gorgeous studio at St John's Recreation centre (directions and a map). Enter the main entrance and follow the corridor round to the left, take the stairs ahead of you, the studio is in front of you - the Rec cafe is on your left.

Is there parking?

There is plenty of free parking at the centre - do keep an eye out for the centre cat who loves car bonnets and enjoys catching some rays in the car park!

Which class is best for me?

If you are starting your fitness journey, the Strength Fitness class is suitable for all standards as the exercises can be modified to suit you. This class will give you a great foundation of exercises and techniques. 

If you are already on the fitness train and are looking to upgrade your training, the Female Strength class focuses on more complex exercises, with a dedicated two instructors to ensure your technique and form are perfect as you master the moves.

Core Balance offers an opportunity to give your mind and body some breathing space, the blend of yoga and Pilates creates a calm training environment where you can work to your own ability, choosing which options or progressions to take.

Which nutrition course is best for me?

The first step for most is the Digestive wellness course. Step 2 to compliment your foundations is the Beyond the gut course  which offers strategies to upgrade your knowledge and supercharge your understanding of nutritional health.

However if you require more guidance the first step may be the bespoke Health Hero Course. This is a completely individualised course offering one to one guidance and support to really kick start your health journey. For more info on the course options see The Nutrition Programs page

How do I book in for a class?

You can find class availability on the Fitness page. Please contact the class instructor directly through the relevant email address. 

What do I need to wear?

Wear something you can easily move in and feel comfortable in -  leggings, joggers, shorts and a T-shirt or top are all fine. Lycra is entirely optional but please no dirty work clothes, denim or work boots. Trainers must be clean and free from mud/ sand (or you’ll have Martin on your case) 😉

What do I need to bring?

Bring plenty of water and a small towel. If you have sensitive hands some weight training gloves might be a good investment but not essential. Also feel free to bring occasional treats for your favourite instructors 😉

Is there somewhere I can get changed?

There are shower and toilet facilities at the centre with space to change.

Are refreshments available?

The Rec cafe is open Tuesday - Sunday from 9:15 am with last orders at 2pm. The friendly cafe serves a range of drinks, snacks and hot and cold food - including avocado, eggs and mushrooms!

What do I do if I can’t attend a session?

Please let your instructor or PT know as soon as you know you are unable to attend the session. If this is less than 24 hours notice the best way to notify is via text as instructors are often unable to answer a call when with clients.

Do you have a cancellation charge?

We have a same day cancellation charge for personal training sessions 

What do I do if I have an injury?

Please inform your instructor or PT prior to the start of the session, they will be able to advise you on any adjustments to certain exercises during a session.
